You often use good makeup brushes. That's precisely why they deserve regular cleaning. With a simple routine, you keep the bristles pleasant to use and prevent old makeup from accumulating.
Step 1: Wet only the bristles
Hold the brush with the bristles facing down and wet them with lukewarm water. Try to keep the connection between the bristles and the handle as dry as possible.
Step 2: Clean gently
Use a mild cleanser and gently massage it through the bristles. Rinse and repeat if a lot of product still comes out of the brush. Do not pull or wring the bristles.
Step 3: Shape and dry
Gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the bristles, and let the brush air dry flat on a clean towel. Do not put wet brushes directly back into a closed case.
How often should you clean them?
That depends on how often and for what you use them. Brushes for liquid and cream products generally require more frequent attention than a brush you occasionally use for powder.
